ReStyle

Emma Alvarez Gibson - Jan 7, 2009

Since 1981, ReStyle has been the South Bay source for bad-ass clothes, shoes and accessories. (Full disclosure: I used to work there, way back when I was a young lass of eighteen. But more importantly: I bought my very first pair of Doc Martens there.)  Inventory changes all the time, and the owners, Rodge and Danielle, are expert buyers. There’s always something cool to be had, whether it’s a pair of shoes no one else has, or a Johnny Cash onesie for your friend’s kid.  ReStyle embraces the new while saluting the old favorites. Stop by. Tell Rodge and Danielle I said hello.

Built in 1929 to be Charlie Chaplin’s office space, Campanile is a beautiful dining room with award-winning food and a great bar. Check out their pecial grilled cheese night every Thursday, featuring gourmet cheeses and their homemade breads  ($17 and up).

Good Luck Bar

Everything a Hollywood dive should be - dark, kitschy, knowledgeable bartenders, a great jukebox and not really a dive. Try the Singapore Sling.
