Everyone knows about the housing crisis.  Of course, if you live in LA and are thinking about buying, the subject of housing always seems to be a crisis.  Even with the market dropping as fast as it currently is, everything for the 20-and-30-somethings still seems to be out of reach.  One of the solutions, though admittedly still a bit unreachable for some, is the concept of buying a fixer-upper and remodeling it.

Maybe companies like K-Designers won’t be struggling too much in this economy if everyone starts deciding to buy the junkiest place on the block to fix up.  K-Designers specialize in home remodeling and boast that they are the leader in home remodeling.  K-Designers is located throughout the West and Northwest.

The thing is, for those of us young people in LA, things are a little different than in the rest of the country (short of places like NY).  Even when we go to the bottom of the barrel, to the lowest of the low “starter homes,” to areas that are “less desirable,” and to homes that need a lot of work, we’re still potentially looking at a $400k piece of property!

Ideally, this would be less rant and more solution. But we know you can commiserate, and we’d love to hear any and all advice, thoughts, comments and suggestions from you, dear reader. Fire away!
