Survive the City - Explore. Dream. Discover...

Survivors

They’ve come from all over to survive and thrive in this city.  They’re our real-world STC Survivalists, are you?

“Painting the lifeguard towers as a volunteer for Portraits of Hope. This public art project allows children in hospitals to have a creative outlet and paint vivid design boards that will be installed and adorn 158 lifeguard towers from Zuma Beach to Palos Verdes. They can be seen along the beaches from mid-June till October.”

Ali B., Santa Monica via New Jersey

“Not in the grave, Blue Hawaii or a jailhouse, the King lives on Hollywood Boulevard. Usually you can see him alongside Spiderman, Darth Vader and one, if not many, Marilyn Monroes.”

Lori B., Culver City via Florida

“When low tide hits El Matador beach, the ocean reveals creatures usually hidden under some pretty gnarly waves. It’s a whole new way to see ‘stars’.”

Chris R, Culver City, via Texas

“California is one of the few places, if not the only place, where you can ski and surf in the same day.”

Heather B., Santa Monica via North Carolina
